New Approaches to Study Mortality and Longevity Risks



Abstract
This 3-hour course will overview new approaches and findings related to mortality and longevity risks, both on population level (mortality hazard rates above age 85) and individual level (predictors of exceptional longevity). Finally new initiatives of the US National Institute of Aging (NIA) on biomarkers of health risks at older ages will be discussed.
