Jaume Batlle Rodríguez collaborated as an external researcher in the research project Erasmus+ KA2 – Cooperation for innovation and the exchange of good practices | KA201 – Strategic Partnerships for school education | 2015-1-UK01-KA201-013414 VEOEuropa, a project focused on improving the quality of foreign language teaching-learning through the use of the Video Enhanced Observation (VEO) application. This project, led by the University of Newcastle and in which the University of Lapland, Hacettepe University (Turkey), the University of Lapland (Finland) and the Pedagogische Hoghschule of Karlsruhe (Germany) participated, had as its main objectives the development of a tutorial for the use of the application in the teaching-learning of foreign languages and in the training of teachers, the creation of an operative system of labels for the use of the tool, and to report a series of case studies in which it was observed and assess the use of VEO in the context of teaching-learning of foreign languages and teacher training in this field. As an external researcher, Jaume Batlle participated in the VEO Showcase Conference, the final event of the project held in London on July 13, 2017. In this event, Jaume Batle presented a poster in which the practical experience of using VEO in a Peer observation practice for professional development carried out in the center of Spanish as a foreign language Education First. All the experiences presented at the event crystallized in the book, edited by Paul Seedhouse, Video Enhanced Observation for Language Teaching: Reflection and Professional Development, edited by Bloomsbury.
