The Federation for the Humanities and Social Sciences has announced that Congress 2023 will take place in-person at York University’s Keele and Glendon campuses, with some virtual elements available on the Forj platform that was used for Congress 2021 and 2022. While CSSE now has two years of experience hosting online-only gatherings, we have no experience hosting a hybrid conference at CSSE’s scale, and a fully (or significantly) hybrid gathering involves significant challenges. Therefore, while CSSE 2023 will include some virtual elements, CSSE 2023 will be predominantly in-person. Delegates attending online will use the Forj platform to access virtual and hybrid-compatible sessions. Delegates attending in-person may attend sessions on campus or, for virtual hybrid-compatible sessions, via the same Forj platform.
