Welcome to the Grup de Neuroquímica webpage

The Grup de Neuroquímica conducts research to better understand the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying neurodegenerative processes in humans. Because of that,we have a wide experience in the research of the physiopathological processes present in several neurological disorders such as stroke, Alzheimer's disease, multiple sclerosis and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.

As part of the Department of Biomedical Sciences, we stay at the Campus of Casanova of the Universitat de Barcelona, which is located near of the city center. Our facilities are situated in the School of Medicine and Health Sciences, closed to the Hospital Clínic i Provincial of Barcelona. Our laboratory is equipped with the most modern techonology, which allows us to be very competitive in basic research at the disease environment.
