Elise Wouters
VISITING PH.D. STUDENT
Elise is a PhD student of the lab of Prof. Dr. Kathleen Van Craenenbroeck at the University of Ghent, Belgium. Her research project is designed to evaluate the possible formation of dimers between three important G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) subtypes of the brain. Currently, she is focusing on different complementation assays to study dimerization. Furthermore, she will do an in-depth study on functional implications of receptor dimerization (e.g. via cAMP, calcium, MAPK, B-arrestin and G-protein recruitment).
