René Crans
Ph.D. Student
René is a PhD student of Prof. Dr. Kathleen Van Craenenbroeck at University of Ghent, Belgium. His research project aims to develop a screening platform to test the interaction capability for different G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs). He will start to apply different techniques (e.g. BRET, TR-FRET, CoIP) on three important GPCR subtypes of the brain. Finally, his intention is to take the assays all the way to animal models. Finally, René defence his PhD (16-1-2020) under the supervision of Prof. Christophe Stove (University of Ghent) and co-supervised by Prof. Francisco Ciruela.
