The last 7th Barcelona focused on pollution in urban areas and its effects on human health. The seminar was an update on the status of air quality in Catalonia in terms of both the progression of the pollutants emissions and the development of new strategies to deal with. An important discussed issue was the problem of surface ozone and particulate matter.

The seminar was attended by over 200 professionals, authorities from the Environmental Department of the Catalonian Government, experts related to energy and environmental sectors and specialized technicians from some towns of Catalonia.

Maria Rosa Soler showed support tools that can help to manage pollution.

In particular, she explained the ARAMIS modelling system implemented by the MAiR group and some different projects in which MAiR has applied its modelling system.
