For this edition of the BW we encourage submissions discussing the Liar Paradox and related paradoxes that affect truth, denotation, definability and other semantic concepts.
We invite submissions for 35-40-minute presentations (with 25-20 additional minutes for discussion). Submissions should take the form of either a 1200-1500 word abstract or a full paper with a 300 word abstract. Authors' names, postal address, affiliation, phone number and e-mail address should be given separately. Please send your submission by e-mail in an attached file in .pdf, .ps or.rtf format to bw7.logos@gmail.com . Submissions will be blind refereed by an international committee, and selected on the basis of general quality and relevance to the special topic of the workshop.
Submisions must be received by February 1, 2011. Communication of acceptance: March 15, 2011.
We regret that we cannot cover travel or other expenses, although the organization will try to cover the accommodation expenses of the authors of accepted papers if our applications for funding are successful (we expect to know by the time acceptances are announced). There will be a maximum of 14 submissions accepted. The Workshop will have no parallel sessions.
The Barcelona Workshop on Issues in the Theory of Reference is a small format conference that attempts to provide ample space for discussion and informal interaction among participants.
