CONFERENCE VENUE
The conference will be held in the following rooms of the Institut d'Estudis Catalans (This building is located next to the Residència d'Investigadors. Address: Carme 47):

  Thursday, June 5th: room "Prat de la Riba"
  Friday, June 6th and Saturday, June 7th: room "Pere Coromines"

Here you have a map that indicates how to go from the Residència d'Investigadors (blue dot) to the conference venue (red dot). As you can see in the map you can access the Room "Prat de la Riba" and the Room "Pere Coromines" both through Hospital street or through Carme street.

The Residència d'Investigadors is conveniently located downtown near Les Rambles (not far from Catalunya Square).

Those attending the workshop should contact the Residence directly (investigadors@resa.es) in order to make a room reservation. Please mention that you will be attending the "Barcelona Workshop on Reference".

The prices are:
Single room:
Monday-Friday: 54 euro per night
Saturday & Sunday: 40,50 euro per night

Double room (one or two beds):
Monday-Friday: 76 euro per night
Saturday & Sunday: 57 euro per night

(prices include breakfast and taxes)

If you wish to attend the Workshop we very strongly recommend that you make your room reservation as soon as possible, since the number of rooms available at the Residència is limited.

WELCOMING RECEPTION & CONFERENCE DINER
We will be offering you a Welcoming Reception on Wednesday June 4th, from 7 to 9 pm, in the Institut d'Estudis Catalans. We will meet at 7 pm at the hall of the Residència d'Investigadors.
The Conference Dinner will be on Friday June 6th at 9 pm, at the "Escola de Restauració de Barcelona" (C/ Muntaner 70-72, 08011 Barcelona. Telf: 93-453 29 03). The dinner will cost 30 euro.

HOW TO GO FROM THE AIRPORT TO THE RESIDÈNCIA D'INVESTIGADORS?
(1) You can take a cab. Barcelona cabs are black and yellow (very easy to spot). They are parked just outside each of the airport terminals. It will cost you some 20-24 euros.

(2) By train. There are signs at the airport indicating the way to the airport train station (the company that runs the train is "Renfe"). All trains that stop at the airport take you to the Catalunya Square ("Plaça Catalunya") train station. Tickets cost about 2'5 euros. It takes 20 minutes. Trains are available around every 30 minutes.

(3) By bus. The "Aerobus" (or "Airport Bus") runs between the Barcelona Airport and Catalunya Square ("Plaça Catalunya"). It stops in front of each of the airport terminals. It costs 3.5 euros. The trip takes about 40 min. There is a bus every 12 minutes. You purchase the ticket on the bus. The bus has four stops: "Plaça Catalunya" is the last one. "Plaça Catalunya" is close to the Residència d'Investigadors.

From Plaça Catalunya you can reach the Residència either
(i) by walk: 10-15 minute nice walk down "Les Rambles"
(ii) by "metro": take the green line in Plaça Catalunya, direction "Zona Universitaria". It is just one station: you should get off at the "Liceu" stop. Then it is a 5 minute walk;
(iii) by taxi: it might cost some 4 euros.

If you ask people in the street for directions, they will most likely not know "Residència d'Investigadors", since the Residència is rather new, and only open to people related to one of the Universities or research centers in Barcelona. Everyone will know, though, "carrer Hospital" (the street where the Residència is located).
