In 30 years, research in Education has changed. One of the most important factors of this change has been the research groups that have contributed solidity to the process, richness to the subjects, interdisciplinarity to the approaches.
The 21st century has brought new challenges. Financing through competitive calls at international level shows the weakness of the group model against the proposals presented by research centres. Research in education needs to equip itself with new methods and resources, find more powerful forms of visibility, provide more interdisciplinary teams and strengthen research lines.
And, one step further, we must be aware of the importance of Spain and its higher Education institutions in a globalised context: it is necessary that these institutes work in a coordinated and collaborative manner.
Representatives of the research institutes in Education grouped in a Spanish network will speak about all this:
- Grouping processes and cohesiveness of groups.
- New strategies in the presentation of projects.
- Visibility, relevance and evaluation of the research.
