The irreversible destruction of a unique environment of pedunculet oak at oak grove of Verdalet

The felling that has been carried out  of pedunculate oak in the oak gorve can Verdalet is an inadmissible fact. The environmental alteration that supposes such an intense logging, added to the entrance with heavy machinery on soils soothsay and the alteration of the freatic made with the creation of drains, endangers a high number of species that disappear when losing its habitat The heritage value as a singular forest extremely rare in southern Europe, and that in the Iberian Peninsula is only located in the Tordera plain lands, it was well known to the administrations responsible for the management of the territory. It has not served anything that was a habitat of community interest located within a space of the Natura 2000 Network (Riu i Estanys de Tordera) and within also the Plan of Areas of Natural Interest (Roureda de Tordera). We regret that despite the current information and communication resources, such deplorable actions can still be taken.
