The association of wheat varieties in ecological extensive herbal systems
The research group "Ecology of agricultural systems" at the University of Barcelona organizes a technical seminar on the association of wheat varieties in extensive ecological herbaceous systems.
The association of different species or varieties of cereals can have numerous benefits, both to ensure productivity in unfavorable conditions, as well as for the provision of some ecosystem services, such as pest control.
Currently, the cultivation of cereal mixtures is increasing in several European countries, but it is still unusual in our territory. In this day we will explore this topic, and we will present the preliminary results obtained in the project developed this year by the research group.
