Tens of birds are killed accidentally in fishing
Incidental catches of seabirds, a common phenomenon that is tied to fishing gear, is one of the greatest threats to the conservation of seabird populations.
Determine the best strategy to reduce the incidental catch of seabirds by persons engaged in longline fishing is the goal of scientific campaign team led by Professor Jacob González-Solís, Department of Animal Biology and the Institute of Biodiversity Research (IRBio), both assigned to the Barcelona Knowledge Campus (BKC).
