Joan Oró, the scientist of life. New exhibition at the CRAI Biology Library.
The CRAI Biology Library offers an exhibition dedicated to Joan Oró to commemorate the centenary of his birth, which was celebrated last year, 2023.
The exhibition is titled Joan Oró, the scientist of life and is intended to be a tribute to the work of the Catalan biochemist, professor at the University of Houston and expert in the study of the origin of life. Joan Oró's academic and professional career has such remarkable moments as the discovery of the synthesis of adenine or his participation in the NASA Apollo and Viking projects.
The exhibition includes scientific articles, books and also a small miscellany of curiosities and can be visited in the exhibition space at the entrance of the library until March 8.
