IRBio Grant PR-2022, IRBio-UB research promotion program.
The purpose of this call is to promote that junior researchers from the Biodiversity Research Institute of the University of Barcelona (IRBio-UB) can develop original and innovative research projects, thus contributing positively to their curricula to promote the access to the corresponding accreditations and their stabilization in research and academic career.
At the same time, this call aims to stimulate collaboration between researchers from different research groups of the Institute, and therefore will promote the projects to be developed by researchers from at least two research groups (SGR) of the IRBio-UB, with significant participation from both groups.
Funding will be for a grant of € 8,000.
Duration: 1 year

We hereby inform you that in the Call for Grants for Research Projects within the Framework of the Research Promotion Program of the Biodiversity Research Institute (IRBio-UB) (Third Call PR 2022), submitted three applications that have been accepted to pass the AGAUR evaluation process:
1- Application nº 01 PR IRBio_2022 IRBio_UB: Uncovering the genomic basis of adaptive convergence of brain size in birds IP1: Sara Guirao-Rico IP2: Joan Garcia-Porta
2- Application nº 02 PR IRBio_2022 IRBio_UB: Heterogeneity of the Mediterranean arable landscape, opportunities to improve production quality through pollination. IP1: Melania Morales Fernández
3- Application nº 03 PR IRBio_2022 IRBio_UB: Evolutionary impact of gene loss at the level of single cell transcriptomics IP: Alfonso Ferrández Roldán
