EXPLORANDO PATAGONIA

 

This takes place in the period from 18 to October 29, 2010 in the city of Puerto Madryn, Peninsula Valdes, with the option of volunteering Wildlife Refuge and Hope aims to provide a place to discover the Patagonian coast and biodiversity in a practical and theoretical way. Direct examination of the environment and researchers helping will provide knowledge about the necessity and importance of conserving wildlife and natural resources areas, and how to conduct research projects.

The course is organized by the Spanish Association "Animal Latitude" and "Patagonia Natural Foundation" in collaboration with Asociación de Profesorado Solidario de la Universidad de Barcelona (APS-UB), Instituto de Ciencias de la Educación de la Universidad de Barcelona (ICE-UB), Instituto de Conservación de Ballenas (ICB), Observatorio de ballena Franca Austral Punta Flecha, El refugio de Vida Silvestre “La Esperanza”, Investigadores del CENPAT  (CONICET) and Conocer Para Conservar.

Patagonia Natural Foundation is a nongovernmental organization that since 1989 works in research of a better quality of life for people, now and in the future inhabiting the Patagonia, based on the protection of nature and its responsible use as common essential good.

Animal Latitude is a Spanish association that aims to provide a place for information and training on wildlife in the world, from all latitudes, their habitats, conservation, rescue and rehabilitation, promote knowledge sharing and dissemination of events from all organizations involved in these areas of work. The interest of the association covers all over the world, and now its headquarters is located in Barcelona.

DURATION: 65 hours (10 school days)

LOCATION: Puerto Madryn, Peninsula Valdes, Patagonia, Argentina.

SEATS: 20 places for the course and 10 places for volunteerism.
