This is the first field guide on heteropters in Catalonia. In it you will find the most common species and also a wide representation of the families of the country. The volume includes 142 species, ordered in tabs that include a photograph to be able to identify them and other information of interest such as the scientific name, size, family, description or habitat. For the first time, the authors propose common names in Catalan for each species and for all the families present in Catalonia. The volume complements a rigorous introduction, with information of a general nature such as distribution, morphology or the scientific and applied interest of the species, a final chapter that analyzes the study of heteropters in our territory, with information on new species , protected species or invasive species and a final alphabetical index that allows us to quickly locate. This book aims to become a useful and informative tool that allows us to do field work and help us to understand a group so unknown of insects and that can affect the human economy as much.
The presentation will take place next Tuesday March 5 at 7:00 p.m. Pi i Sunyer Room of the IEC of Barcelona, (carrer del Carme, 47)
