Abstract
According to the doxastic account of perceptual experience I have suggested, experience is a kind of belief. These beliefs take what I have called "phenomenal contents", for instance, contents of the form /x looks F/.In this talk, I'll take up two different challenges to this
view: First, I'll argue that it can meet the Austin/Travis challenge to the general claim that experience has representational content. Second, I'll argue that using a looks-operator does /not/ make the suggested contents /about/ experiences.
