My current research focuses on generic generalisations like 'Women are bossy'. I will conduct experiments to test my 'Generic Bootstrapping Hypothesis', according to which generics induce a cognitive bias towards overgeneralisation. In addition to generics, I have interests in communication, linguistic underdetermination, indexicals, and fiction.
Before joining LOGOS, I was Lecturer in Philosophy at the New College of the Humanities (2021-2022), an IRC Postdoctoral Researcher at in the School of Philosophy at University College Dublin (2018-2021), and a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Munich Center for Mathematical Philosophy Maximilians-Universität München (2016-2017). My PhD was awarded in 2016 by the University of St Andrews.
