David Ebrey
Serra Húnter Fellow (Lector) at the University of Barcelona
I work on ancient Greek philosophy, primarily Plato and Aristotle. My training is in analytic philosophy (BA University of Chicago, PhD UCLA) and I continue to have strong interests in a number of topics and debates within it. I have recently published Plato's Phaedo: Forms, Death, and Philosophical Life (CUP, 2023) and co-edited (with Richard Kraut) The Cambridge Companion to Plato, 2nd Edition (CUP, 2022).
For more information, see my website, below. Analytic philosophers might have particular interest in my papers "Identity and Explanation in the Euthyphro," and "The Asceticism of the Phaedo."
