Our theoretical approach brings together under the same analytical framework political and moral economy. We seek to understand both the moral obligations that guide common people’s practices and the structural properties producing political and economic differentiation. This perspective adopts a dynamic view of social regulation and observes how actors negotiate and define the boundaries of different forms of obligation and responsibility.
