Call for poster presentations
The FoCM 2017 conference is open for contributed poster presentations. During the conference there will be poster sessions during the 2nd and 3rd days of each period, with a substantial but limited number of presentation slots.
The available board area for posters will be of 84 cm (width) by 118 cm (height), that is, A0 size in portrait layout. One of the authors will have to be present and available for discussion during the poster sessions.
The call is now closed and the acceptance results will be communicated by the second half of April 2017. All queries concerning these results should be directly addressed to the organizers of the corresponding workshop.
Call for NSF financial support
The National Science Foundation (NSF) is supporting the FoCM 2017 conference through a special grant. US-based junior researchers are encouraged to apply to partial financial support from this grant, to attend the conference.
This call is addressed to US-based graduate students, postdocs and junior faculty (PhD in 2012 or later). Priority will be given to junior participants invited to give a workshop talk, or presenting a poster. The selection process will also take into account subject balance, gender and demographic diversity, persons with disabilities and other traditionally under-represented groups.
The offered financial support is of 1000 USD per selected participant. We expect these participants will be able to secure additional funding, perhaps from their own institutions, to extend their stay for at least two periods (6 full days).
The call is now closed and the results will be communicated to the candidates by April 8th, 2017.
