SIDBRINT es el acrónimo de Sistema de Información Digital sobre las Brigadas Internacionales. Este portal se ha desarrollado como proyecto de investigación (2010-2013) financiado para el Plan Nacional de Investigación Fundamental No Orientada del Ministerio de Innovación (HAR2010-20983). El objetivo principal es la digitalización de la memoria histórica de la Guerra Civil española, de los Brigadistas y de las Brigadas Internacionales.

Las bases de datos interrelacionadas que configuran SIDBRINT ofrecen toda la dimensión humana y documental de las Brigadas Internacionales i de los brigadistas de la Guerra Civil española. Elaboradas a partir de una serie de requerimientos historiográficos, documentales y tecnológicos, aseguran el diseño de los campos informativos y su consiguiente recuperación.

Este portal ofrece los contenidos en 8 idiomas (alemán, castellano, catalán, euskera, francés, gallego, inglés e italiano) i en más de 26, ofrece las consultas y la navegación por diferentes tipos de datos. Los contenidos de esta web son editados regularmente por 33 investigadores de 9 universidades españolas y 2 europeas, i desde este mes de noviembre está en línea para el gran público en general.Está previsto implementar en la siguiente etapa del Proyecto la tecnología semántica y por búsquedas multidimensionales por medio de ontologías. SIDBRINT sigue las directrices del Semantic Web Advanced Development for Europe (SWAD-Europe).

SIDBRINT. Digital Information System on the International Brigades

SIDBRINT is the acronym for “Sistema d’Informació Digital sobre les Brigades Internacionals” (Digital Information System on the International Brigades). This portal has been developed as a research project (2010-2013) financed by the National Plan for Non-Orientated Fundamental Investigation of the Ministry de Science and Innovation (HAR2010-20983). The main objective is the digitization of the historical memory of the Spanish Civil War, the Brigadistes and the International Brigades.

The interrelated databases included in SIDBRINT cover the whole human and documentary dimension of the Brigadistes and the International Brigades of the Spanish Civil War. The design of the informational fields is based on historiographical, documental and technological requirements that ensure its subsequent recovery.

This website offers its content in 8 languages (Basque, Catalan, English,  French, Galician, German, Italian and Spanish) and in more than 26, it offers consultations and browsing through different types of data. The contents of this web site are published regularly by 33 researchers from 9 universities in Spain and two in Europe, and from this year 2014 it will be online for the general public. In the next stage of the project, it is planned to implement the technology and semantics for multidimensional searches by means of ontologies.

SIDBRINT follows the guidelines of the Semantic Web Advanced Development for Europe (SWAD-Europe).
